How do I initiate a return or exchange?Updated a month ago
We accept returns or exchanges for eligible items within 30 days from your order shipment. Return period extended to 45 days during the Black Friday Event. For more information on our return policy, view our complete policy here.
To initiate a return or exchange, please visit our returns portal here. You’ll receive a prepaid shipping label via email once we know which item(s) you are sending back to us.
If you are wanting to exchange your order, you can only select a new shade from the same product when submitting your return.
Please note exchanges are final sale.
Please note:

- We will process one return per order, meaning that if your order contains more than one item and you wish to return or exchange more than one item, they must be processed together.
- We kindly ask that you include the original packaging with your order.
- If your order included a promotional gift with purchase, the gift must be returned along with item(s) in your order to complete a full return. If the gift is not returned, its value will be deducted from your refund.
- All return requests must be approved by Colorescience Concierge. Once approved, your returned package must include the provided Colorescience shipping label on the return package.
- Once complete, you can drop off your return or exchange package in your outgoing mailbox or at your nearest post office.
- Please note it may take up to 10 business days to process a return or exchange.
- Processing times can be extended within 10 days of sitewide promotional periods due to high volume.
- Please allow for up to one billing cycle for a refund to appear on your credit card statement.
- Any product adverse reactions returns do require extra processing time and completion of data collection form to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Please do not address “Return to sender.” We would hate for your return to get lost, and you may incur a $15 fee that will be subtracted from your refund.
- Refunds for items returned within 30 days of the shipment date will be refunded to the original form of payment, minus any shipping costs if applicable.
- Returns on subscription replenishment orders will be subject to a restocking fee of $7.95.
- No refunds or exchanges will be accepted on final sale items.
